Privacy Policy
In short
- Ricolux works offline, with no account. The game itself collects no personal data: your progress (levels, stars, daily challenge streak, settings) is saved on your phone only. We have no server for the game.
- The daily challenge reminder is a local notification, scheduled by the phone itself; you can turn it off in the game's Settings.
- Your daily result is shared only when you ask for it, to the app you choose.
- Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which uses your phone's advertising ID. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you decide whether they may be personalised, and you can change your mind at any time (Settings > "Privacy").
- The "Ad-free" purchase goes through Google Play: we never see your payment details.
- We do not sell your data. We have not added any analytics or crash-reporting tool to the game.
1. Who we are
Ricolux is published by Rokkiro, the name under which Benjamin Bonnet, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel, SIREN 977 823 376, SIRET 977 823 376 00016), publishes his games, 51 avenue César Bernaudon, 13310 Saint-Martin-de-Crau, France ("we").
For any question about your data or to exercise your rights: contact@rokkiro.com.
2. Data saved on your phone
The game saves, in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read:
- your progress: solved levels, stars, unlocked chapters, hints, ray colors you have earned;
- the daily challenge: the challenges you played and your streak;
- your settings: sound effects, music, vibration, theme, language, daily challenge reminder;
- the state of the "Ad-free" purchase, so that no ads are shown between levels.
This data is only used to run the game. It is sent neither to us nor to anyone else: the game has no account and no server. If Android backup is turned on for your phone, Android may include it in your Google account's backup; that backup is managed by Android, and we have no access to it.
3. The daily challenge reminder
The daily challenge reminder is a local notification: it is scheduled on your phone by the game itself, without any server. You can turn it off at any time in the game (Settings > "Challenge notifications") or in the app's Android settings.
4. Sharing your daily result
After a daily challenge, you can share a small image of your result. Sharing only happens when you trigger it, and only to the app you choose (messaging, social network…). The image contains no personal data; what the chosen app does with it is covered by that app's own policy.
5. Ads
Ricolux is free thanks to advertising, provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited, for Europe). You may watch a video, if you wish, to get a hint; ads may also appear between levels, unless you have bought "Ad-free".
To show and measure these ads, the Google SDK built into the game collects and sends to Google:
- your phone's advertising ID;
- your interactions with ads: ads shown, watched, tapped;
- diagnostic data: crashes and performance of the ad SDK;
- technical information about the device and the connection (model, Android version, language, IP address), which Google uses in particular to estimate your country and to fight fraud.
Your choice. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the game shows you Google's consent form (UMP) on first launch: you accept or refuse personalised ads. You can reopen this form and change your mind at any time, in the game: Settings > "Privacy". If you refuse, ads stay non-personalised: they depend on the context (the game, your approximate country) and not on your profile.
In Android settings, you can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time (depending on the phone: Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads). Once deleted, it is no longer given to apps.
Google processes this data under its own rules: how Google uses information from partner apps and Google Privacy Policy. You can manage the ads Google shows you at myadcenter.google.com.
6. Purchases (Google Play)
The one-time "Ad-free" purchase, which removes the ads between levels, goes entirely through Google Play. Google handles the payment and your purchase history; we never see your payment details (card, address, name). The game only receives Google Play's confirmation of the purchase, to remove the ads; the "Restore purchases" button asks Google Play for it again after a reinstall. See the Google Privacy Policy.
7. Permissions
- Internet and network state: to load ads and to check purchases with Google Play. The rest of the game works without a connection.
- Notifications: for the daily challenge reminder, only if you allow it (Android 13 and later asks).
- Advertising ID and Google Play billing: added by Google's libraries for ads and purchases.
The game does not ask for your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
8. If you write to us
If you e-mail us, we receive your e-mail address and the content of your message. We only use them to answer you.
9. Why, and on what basis
- Running the game on your phone (progress, settings, reminder, sharing): performance of the service you use; this data stays on your phone.
- Personalised ads (European Economic Area and United Kingdom): your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Non-personalised ads, ad measurement and fraud prevention: our legitimate interest in funding a free game. [À CONFIRMER : base légale, à faire relire]
- Purchases: performance of the purchase contract, through Google Play.
- Answering your e-mails: our legitimate interest in answering you.
10. Who receives data
- Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC), for ads (AdMob) and purchases (Google Play). Google may process this data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States, with the safeguards provided by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses, EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
- Our e-mail provider, for e-mails: OVHcloud, which receives the messages sent to our contact address, then Google (Gmail), where they are forwarded.
We ourselves receive no data from the game, and we sell no data.
11. How long
- On your phone: as long as the game is installed. Uninstalling it, or "Clear data" in the app's Android settings, erases everything (how to).
- At Google (ads, purchases): under Google's rules.
- Your e-mails: for as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted at the latest 12 months after the last exchange.
12. Minimum age
Ricolux is meant for adults (18 and over); it is not intended for children. If you are a parent and believe a child has written to us, write to us: we will delete their messages.
13. Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its correction, its deletion, the restriction of its processing, its portability, and you can object to processing based on our legitimate interest. In France, you can also set instructions for what happens to your data after your death.
- Withdraw your consent to personalised ads: at any time in the game, Settings > "Privacy".
- Erase the game's data: it is on your phone; uninstall the game or clear its data (deletion page).
- Ad and purchase data held by Google: Google manages it under its own rules (myadcenter.google.com, myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy).
- Any other request: write to contact@rokkiro.com. We answer within one month.
If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr) or with the data protection authority of your country.
14. Changes
If a version of the game changes the data processed, this policy is updated before that version is released, and the date at the top of the page changes. If the change is significant, we let you know in the game.
